I'm an overthinker. My mind rarely slows down, but woodworking has a way of quieting the noise and calming my soul. There's something about working with my hands, especially sanding a piece of wood, that brings me peace.
Noah Kahan's music has genuinely changed my life. His lyrics speak to so many of the things we feel but struggle to put into words. I'm incredibly grateful for his music and for the work he's doing through The Busyhead Project.
I handmade this one-of-a-kind lyric block in my little woodshed in Durham, North Carolina, using beautiful heart pine reclaimed from a mid-century Durham home. I love that this wood already has a story, and now it gets to tell another one.
My family and I are huge Noah Kahan fans, and creating these pieces is a way to combine two things I love: making things and meaningful music.
Have a favorite Noah Kahan lyric? Send me a message! I'd be happy to create a personalized piece just for you.
